Imagine filling Madison Square Garden nearly to capacity for a concert.

Now imagine every seat representing a woman expected to lose her life to ovarian cancer in 2026.

According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 21,010 women will die from ovarian cancer in 2026. That's roughly the equivalent of nearly every seat in Madison Square Garden.

These aren't just numbers. They're mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, friends, and loved ones whose lives have been impacted by this disease.

Together, we can against ovarian cancer πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’₯

A beautiful day of remembrance, community, and hope πŸ’™

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 5th Annual 5K Walk-Run in memory of Robin Babbini and Cory Zera.

We are so grateful to The Ovarian Cancer Circle for their partnership and for helping bring this incredible event to life. Together, we honored loved ones, celebrated survivors, raised awareness, and reminded families affected by ovarian cancer that they are not alone.

Seeing so many people come together for a cause bigger than themselves was truly inspiring. Every step taken, every donation made, and every conversation started helps move the fight against ovarian cancer forward.

Thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, participants, and supporters who made this day possible. We are proud to stand together in memory of Robin and Cory and continue working toward a future where no family has to experience the devastating impact of ovarian cancer.

Were you there? Share your favorite memory from the day in the comments and tag the friends, family members, or teammates who walked or ran alongside you πŸ’¬

After losing Cory Zera to ovarian cancer, Cory Fights Back was created to transform grief into advocacy, awareness, and action. Cory’s story closely mirrors that of Robin Babbini, whose legacy inspired The Ovarian Cancer Circle. Together, their stories remind us why this fight matters 🩡

Robin was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer at just 17 years old. Despite surgeries, chemotherapy, and a recurrence that made her illness chronic, she continued pursuing her education, supporting others, and raising awareness for ovarian cancer in young women. Robin passed away at just 20 years old, but her courage continues to inspire countless families today.

Join us on Sunday, May 31st at Balboa Park in Encino as we come together to remember loved ones, raise awareness, and continue fighting for a cure. Every step helps support advocacy, education, and hope for families impacted by ovarian cancer.

Did you know that over 47% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed between the ages of 55 and 74?

Ovarian cancer is known as a β€œsilent disease” because symptoms can be vague and hard to recognize. That’s why spreading awareness is so important. 🩡

Don't miss 3 common signs of ovarian cancer πŸ‘€

β€’ Bloating β€” swelling in the lower pelvis or abdomen
β€’ Pelvic or abdominal pain β€” pain in the abdomen, pelvis, or back
β€’ Urinary frequency β€” feeling the need to urinate more frequently

While these symptoms *can* be signs of ovarian cancer, they do not always mean it is ovarian cancer. If symptoms continue for 2 weeks or longer, it’s important to see your healthcare provider.

There are currently no screening tests for ovarian cancer β€” which means paying attention to common signs and symptoms matters more than ever.

Ovarian Cancer doesn’t fight fair. Neither do we. Together, we can πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’₯

Cory Zera was only 47 years old when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

At just 12 years old, Cory started experiencing chronic abdominal and intestinal pain. That pain followed her into adulthood and masked a lurking threat. For years, doctors attributed her symptoms to existing stomach issues. The real cause, ovarian cancer, remained undetected. In August 2023, after a sudden onset of severe lower abdominal pain, Cory was rushed to the hospital. That night, she finally received the diagnosis: Stage 3 ovarian cancer.

Despite it all, Cory didn’t give up. The 18 months that followed were a testament to her resilience. When traditional platinum chemotherapy treatment failed, Cory enrolled in a clinical trial at MD Anderson in Houston. She and her fiancΓ© Howard turned treatment into an adventure. Howard bought a condominium near the hospital, and they split time between Los Angeles and Houston. They explored the city and created a temporary home filled with hope.

The trial showed promise. Her CA-125 levels dropped. Cory remained optimistic, determined to beat the odds and spend more time with her daughter and Howard. But in December 2024, headaches and dizziness signaled a devastating turn. A brain scan revealed the cancer had spread to her spine and brain. Still, Cory celebrated Christmas in Los Angeles with Howard, her daughter and her mom, soaking in every moment of love and life.

In January 2025, Cory suffered a series of seizures and was hospitalized under an induced coma. For two precious days, she awoke. Howard held her, kissed her, and saw her green eyes one last time. Cory passed away on February 19, 2025.

Because of Cory, we against ovarian cancer.
