Seems like so long ago we were here under beautiful skies and perfect weather.

I stayed for a bit here, as long as the temperature allowed, no one else around, the bandshell just to myself. I approached my dad's bench, and when I did I didn't just feel him, I felt all of our loved ones keeping me warm.

Wishing you a warm and blessed Christmas to all of us missing someone this holiday season.

Well over a year ago QCRD Committee Members Brian and Peg were interviewed by Ira Glass from NPR for a segment on his show "This American Life".

They had assumed it was on the cutting room floor and never to used, so were very surprised to find out it aired last night.

Brian edited the hour long show to just their segemnt and added some photos.

Please understand it might be a tough watch for some, there are some triggering photos and it deals with the feelings of guilt and responsibility.

A year ago today in front of the White House, Covid Survivors For Change held the first Covid Remembrance Day.

It was in the midst of everything and 200,000 people had died, a staggering number, since then dwarfed but the over 700,000 gone now.

It was in the drive home that the idea for the Queens Covid Remembrance Day was first started.
