This summer, we’ll be focusing on the foundation of athletic development:

Speed.
Strength.
Movement.
Confidence.

Whether your athlete runs track, plays football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, or simply wants to become a better athlete, our summer training program is designed to build skills that transfer to every sport.

Last practice before our final meet.
No workouts to chase. No splits to hit.
Just a chance to enjoy being kids.
We played games, laughed more than we ran, took some pictures, and reflected on how far this group has come this season.
What started with a handful of athletes and a few goals turned into new friendships, personal records, relay teams, confidence, and a lot of memories.
Tomorrow we compete one last time this season.
No matter what the clock says, I’m proud of every athlete who showed up, worked hard, encouraged their teammates, and represented Thriving Joy Track Club with character.

Somewhere during practice yesterday, I stopped and realized this is exactly what I hoped this team could become.

Not perfect. Not finished. But growing.

The energy was different. The focus was different. The way they attacked the work was different. You can actually see the progress happening in real time now.

Every sprint, every rep, every correction is starting to mean something.

I started this team in 2019 hoping to build an environment where kids could grow through track and field. Yesterday felt like proof that we’re moving in the right direction.

Proud of this group. We keep building.

First meet of the season and the standard is already set.

Proud of this group. All go the athletes showed up and showed out today. Not just to me, but to themselves and their parents too. By the end of the meet, other teams’ parents were asking who we were. That tells you everything.

One of the biggest moments of the day was the girls relay. We weren’t even planning to run a relay this week, but after what we saw in practice, Coach John and I made the call. Two of our younger girls stepped up and ran up on an older relay with confidence. No hesitation, no fear, just effort and belief.

That’s what this team is all about.

This is just the beginning. ⚡️
