This October, join us at Firefly Hill's Remembrance Walk, a month-long outdoor experience honoring the people and pets we carry in our hearts. Wander peaceful forest trails with reflective prompts or spend a quiet moment at our Wind Telephone.

This Labor Day, a wonderful group of senior students from The Taft School generously gave their time and energy to help care for our property through invasive species removal.

Their hard work helps protect native plants, support local wildlife, and preserve the health and beauty of the natural spaces our foundation works so hard to maintain and share with the community.

We are incredibly grateful to these students for choosing to spend part of their holiday giving back—and for tackling some seriously hard work with such enthusiasm! 💚

Thank you to The Taft School and to each of these young volunteers for being such wonderful stewards of our natural environment. Your efforts made a real difference at Firefly Hill, and we loved having you here! 🌱🌳

There’s something special waiting in the woods at Firefly Hill this September. 🌿

Art & Poetry In the Wild invites you to wander our beautifully maintained forest trails while discovering visual artwork and thoughtfully curated poetry tucked throughout the landscape. Each piece offers a reason to slow down, look a little closer, and experience the natural world through a different lens.

And while you explore, you can become part of the poetry, too! ✍️🌲

Keep your eyes open for our “Wild Words” Poetry Scavenger Hunt hidden along the trails. Collect words as you wander, then use your favorites to create a poem of your own. Before you leave, add your creation to our Community Poetry Board and become part of a growing collection of poems inspired by the people, words, and woods of Firefly Hill.

We’re sharing just a few teaser photos here — but there is so much more waiting to be discovered in person. 👀

Come on your own for a peaceful walk, bring a friend, or make it a family outing. Our well-maintained, easy-to-follow trails make it simple to enjoy the woods, take in the art and poetry, hunt for Wild Words, and see what inspires you along the way.

🍃 Art & Poetry In the Wild is now open!

We’re only a few days into Art & Poetry In the Wild, and the trails at Firefly Hill have been transformed into something truly special.

Throughout the forest, you’ll discover visual artwork and thoughtfully curated poetry tucked into the landscape—sometimes beautiful, sometimes unexpected, and always inviting you to slow down and look at the natural world a little differently.

It’s difficult to capture the experience in photos because so much of the magic comes from wandering the trails and discovering each piece along the way.

Come on your own for a peaceful afternoon, bring a friend or group, or make it a family outing. There’s no schedule to follow and no registration required—just arrive, wander, explore, and enjoy.

Take a peaceful walk through Firefly Hill and enjoy this free, self-guided outdoor experience for all ages. Along the trails, you'll discover Secret Lives of Forest Creatures, our interactive 32-sign scavenger hunt, and a 12-banner Story Walk. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see what you may have missed, August is the perfect time to explore.
