Last Friday, the Woodbury Racial Equity Collaborative brought together 30+ community members and local leaders for a strategy session focused on what comes next. Participants reflected on past efforts, shared perspectives, and began identifying priorities and opportunities to continue advancing racial equity in Woodbury.

A special thank you to James Magee, SoWashCo Schools; Shawn Sorrell, WREC; Christie Denson, WREC; and Shelly Schafer, City of Woodbury, for helping facilitate the conversation and guide the group’s work toward meaningful next steps.

Celebrate Culture. Build Community.

Join us on April 10 for a SowashCo Schools district-wide Multicultural Night celebrating the vibrant cultures that make up our Woodbury community.

Hosted at Woodbury High School, this free event is an opportunity to come together, learn from one another, and experience the traditions, stories, and perspectives that shape our schools.

At the Woodbury Racial Equity Collaborative, we believe that understanding and celebrating our differences helps build a stronger, more welcoming community for all.
