WOODBURY LIONS CLUB PARADE
Although there is no charge for the Christmas parade, participants are asked to bring a non-perishable donation for the Cannon County Food Bank. There will be a donation bin outside the Lions Club Building.
***PLEASE NOTE:
The parade permit from the City strictly PROHIBITS throwing candy or any other items from vehicles or floats. However, participants may have walkers who hand out items directly to spectators along the route.***
Instead of registration numbers, signs should be displayed on the passenger side.
Mules and horses with their riders/wagons will assemble this year at the Fairgrounds behind the UT Extension Office.
Marchers and walkers will line up at the Electric Office parking lot.
Queens & Kings, Princesses & Princes, antique vehicles, and other specialty vehicles will assemble on the road that circles behind the Community Center and in front of the Woodbury Lions Club Building.
Emergency response vehicles will line up along Annie Cox Rd. next to CCMS/CCES. They will line up nearest to Adams St. facing south initially and turn right onto Adams St. to enter the parade.
Businesses, school groups, clubs, and organizations with vehicles with attachments and trailers will meet at the fairgrounds.
Businesses, school groups, clubs, and organizations with vehicles without attachments and trailers will also meet at the fairgrounds.
NO ONE will assemble on the shoulder of West Adams St. or near the Brevard House.
Due to Tennessee legal and insurance requirements, and for safety reasons, lawn mowers and 4-wheelers will NOT be allowed in the parade without TN state tags.
Everyone loves Santa Claus, but since the jolly old elf is coming a long way to make a special appearance, we kindly request that there be no “look-alikes” in the parade. This helps the kids waiting eagerly along the roadside recognize the real Santa.
The parade starts at 6:00 p.m., and lineup will begin at 5:00 p.m. in your designated area.
ROUTE:
From your staging area, follow Adams St. and turn right onto Highway 70.
The parade will continue on Highway 70S, turning right onto Highway 53.
It will then turn right onto West High St. (in front of Woodbury Nursing Center), and continue onto College St., with entries returning to the staging area.
The Woodbury Lions Club is not responsible for accidents, injury, theft or loss of property as a result or participation in the Woodbury Lions Club Christmas Parade.
