Ride for the Families of the Fallen

Rider briefing is complete! All that’s left now is to go! Tomorrow at 6am Eastern, 239 rookie and veteran challengers alike will embark on a 10,000 mile journey to Homer, AK battling weather, break downs, animals, fatigue, and one’s own mental capacity for focus and perseverance! These challengers must follow turn by turn directions, while electronic navigation devices are prohibited and must sleep next to their motorcycle every night. Any deviation from the route without returning to the point at which they got off is a disqualification. Any moving violation received is also a disqualification.
I am one of these challengers and my hope is to raise money for two charities:
1) Mile Monsters Inc that helps boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy live their best life by doing epic s**t! Www.givebutter.com/loko
2) The Wildland Firefighter Foundation that helps families recover from a loss of a firefighter or injured firefighter. https://give.wffoundation.org/hoka-hey-motorcycle-challenge

Hey y’all! As we roll into fire season, remember that when a firefighter gets killed in the line of duty or injured, there’s a different crew that gets dispatched! The Wildland Firefighter Foundation goes out to assist the surviving family get through such a tragedy. I’m riding in the Hoka Hey motorcycle Challenge to raise money for that organization. Some of you may not know but the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge starts in LESS than 2 months! While we get down to crunch time we’re still collecting donations. I’m happy to say that I’ve got three businesses that have stepped up and really helped in that effort. Paradise Harley-Davidson, Timbertown Harley Davidson and Route-99 restaurant in Brooks have agreed to maintain donation jars!
