Increased solar activity can heat Earth's upper atmosphere, causing it to expand and increasing atmospheric drag on satellites in low Earth orbit. This can accelerate orbital decay and force operators to adjust satellite operations. However, individual satellite losses cannot automatically be attributed to solar activity without further evidence.
