LRES parents: The PTO leadership is leaving LRES in June for middle school. 😭We need you! The PTO is not just for stay-at-home parents. It’s for moms, dads, grandparents, and working professionals alike. Does your child enjoy going to the Fun Run? That’s PTO! Does your child enjoy Bingo Night, the school dance, having spirit wear, having newer library books and PE equipment, and being able to sit in the shade on the blue playground? That’s PTO! However, without a PTO Board, there is no PTO, none of the aforementioned fun stuff, and no Cub Scout Pack 1365.
We are all busy and all want the best for our students and teachers. Please consider volunteering your time and abilities to ensure LRES can maintain its status of having all the extras that PTO affords it to have. Nominate yourself for the PTO tonight!

Parents and Leaders,

After conferring with the Pack Committee and hearing concerns from some of you, I've decided that we need to cancel our Spring Campout. LRES is not holding a full outdoor field day today, and as of 8 a.m., Airnow.gov is tracking tomorrow as a high Yellow (Moderate) day, which could push into a Code Orange. I know all of our Cubs were looking forward to camping, and I also know tomorrow could end up being a risk-free day, but a Scout is Courteous, and we have to look out for our vulnerable members. There is unfortunately no way to reschedule this outing so late in the year, but rest assured we will make the Fall Campout one to remember!

With no Campout, we still need to accomplish its most important event - Crossing Over. We're planning to do this Wednesday night, June 14, at 7 p.m., location TBD. Jacob and I are looking for a location in our immediate area to make this event as special as we can. More to follow soon!

I'm sorry I had to do this, but I think it's best for our Cubs, our Pack, and LRES PTO. Thank you as always for everything you're doing for our Cubs!
