Lightning Fam,

Many of you know that Coach Shanel is a consultant, active in several community organizations.

I'm excited to share an opportunity for our Dale City Lightning girls ages 12-16. The BOW Collective — a network of over 350 Black women business owners and leaders across 28 states — is bringing their BOWrettes Entrepreneurship Workshop to Woodbridge on Saturday, September 26, from 9am to 2pm, and it's completely free.

Girls will spend the day working in small teams to identify a real problem, build a simple business plan, and pitch their idea in front of a panel of judges — accomplished business owners and leaders who are giving up their Saturday to invest in the next generation.

It's a full day of building real skills: teamwork, problem-solving, financial thinking, and the confidence to stand up and present. Every girl walks away with a certificate and a gift bag, and the winning teams get extra recognition.

If you'd like your daughter to take part, email us directly @ [email protected]

New season. New goals. Same Lightning energy. ⚡

Indoor registration is officially live, and we could not be more ready to get back on the track and the field with this team.

For over 16 years, Dale City Lightning has built more than fast athletes — we've built national and state champions, three-time AAU Club of the Year titles, and a family that shows up for each other season after season.

This Indoor season is no different.

Whether your athlete is stepping onto the track for the very first time or coming back to chase a new PR, there's a spot for them here.

No experience required. No try-outs. Just hard work, dedication, and a coaching staff that's committed to developing the whole athlete — on and off the track.

Spots are limited and they go fast, so don't wait until the last minute.

👉 Tap the link in bio for full season details and to register.

Hard Work. Dedication. Go Lightning! ⚡

Countdown to Indoor Season ⏳

Lock in the date and join us for the 2nd Annual Lightning Winter Track Classic on Sunday, January 10, 2027 at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.

Youth and High School divisions compete in sprint, distance, and field events, all under winter lights and a high-energy vibe.

Hosted by East End Lightning and Dale City Lightning Track Clubs ⚡️💪

We don't believe in off season. We believe in the season where the work gets put in before anyone's watching — and that's exactly what XL is built for.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Training Groups: 7th/8th Grade & High School
Sessions: 12 total
Format: Semi-private group training
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6-8pm (your specific time slot will be sent after you register)
Season: August 25 - October 22, 2026

Spots are limited — we keep our groups semi-private on purpose, so the coaching stays sharp and every athlete gets seen.

If your athlete is serious about coming back faster and stronger next season, this is where that starts.

DM us with questions and for the registration link.
