The Woodbridge Animal Group (WAG) is a 501(c)(3) organization providing support for the homeless animals in the care of the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center. WAG also promotes Woodbridge Animal Shelter news and updates for the public.

FOUND on Lake Ave in Colonia bordering Clark & Rahway. Neither dog has a microchip. The white dog is a female & the tan and white dog is a male. If these are your dogs, please call the Woodbridge Animal Shelter at 732-855-0600 x2034.

Update- Pending rescue

Meet Winnie!

*please read this post carefully*

Winnie is a 6 month old Rottweiler puppy that had clearly been failed by her previous owner in every single way. Her long sharp nails tell of a dog that hasn't spent much time getting walked or outside at all.
She is frantic, insecure and goes from calm to anxious mouthy in seconds. She wants to please people but she's all over the place.
She's had zero basic training and requires an EXPERIENCED owner willing to put in the work. This is NOT a dog that needs to be coddled, this is a dog that needs a daily outlet for her energy , direction, training and rules.

The Woodbridge Animal Shelter will only accept applicants from an adult home that have prior large breed experience.
Winnie appears as though she's had no socialization with other dogs and they make her nervous.

ROTTWEILER RESCUES ARE WELCOME TO PULL HER FROM THE SHELTER AS WELL.

UPDATE....RESCUE HAS BEEN FOUND!

Sweet neglected girl seeking rescue..
Found stray, this adoring girl was definitely once someone's pet. She made her way to The Woodbridge Animal Shelter and was quickly whisked to Garden State Veterinary Specialists. While her emaciated, matted body was shocking, it did not compare to her poor paws. Every single nail was deeply embedded in her feet.
She was sedated, had her feet tended to, shaved free of her painful filthy matting and started antibiotics. Bloodwork was sent out and came back unremarkable.

MISSING CAT - Oliver Bing was last seen on Sunday, August 2nd, on Dunham Place in Woodbridge. If you see Oliver, please DO NOT approach him. He is extremely shy and will run if frightened, which can make it even harder to bring him home safely.

Adoptable hunk Moose highly recommends the Mayor's free summer concerts at Woodbridge High School on Monday nights! He attended last week and really enjoyed his time out of the shelter and meeting many of you!
He wanted to let you know this week's concert is moved indoors so he wont be attending but he really hopes you'll come to The Woodbridge Animal Shelter and meet him!

Dog friendly, everybody friendly, 2 to 3 yr old Olde English Bulldog. No cats please.

When Gilbert (pic here) and his brother Buddy (coming soon) were surrendered months ago it literally turned their world upside down.
They struck out in fear, charged the cage and tried to bite any chance they could. Shelter staff didnt let that deter them and fortunately had the time to spend comforting them. Slow and steady wins the race and after months in the shelter's intake room, Gilbert made the official move to the adoption floor!

Gilbert would thrive in a quiet home with or without another feline friend. He's quite social with people and is low energy. Gilbert was born with a birth defect to his front leg. It doesnt hinder him in any way.

Gilbert is 2 yrs old and fully vetted.
