Virginia STAR

Virginia STAR The Virginia Student Training and Refurbishment Program (VA STAR) teaches students to refurbish computers, and in return donates them state-wide.

The Virginia Student Training and Refurbishment program (VA STAR) students refurbish surplus hardware from governmental agencies and private businesses. Once refurbished, these computers are donated to families and organizations who need computers. Students in the program can earn IT repair certifications and skill sets that can develop into well-paying jobs. The program is administered through Pr

ince William County Public Schools and its Education Foundation, SPARK. Forest Park High School in Prince William County is the model site for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia STAR is currently in more than 20 school districts throughout the Commonwealth.
