The Hobo hotel in local Wonewoc, one of the 2 known remaining ones in the nation, is about to be moved 400’ out of the floodplain to its new resting site, next to the 400 bike trail.

We have done lots of grant writing and fundraising, but are still running short on our restoration project.

The move is set to take place on August 15th. They are planning on tackling this move in a relational and careful way, by having 55 men and boys lift and carry it to its new resting site.

If you are a Village of Wonewoc electric utility customer, or know someone that is, reach out to me. I am helping utility customers analyze their bills and to see how beneficial solar could be for their homes. I live in town and can meet with you to help go through the entire process.

Reminder: these panels are already on property in the village and are set to be turned on shortly. They do not need to be installed on your home. The insurance and maintenance is covered in the purchasing cost.
