This Father’s Day, we celebrate the love and guidance of all the amazing fathers who nurture hope and brighter futures. At Bethany Children’s Home, every child deserves a safe, supportive place to grow, rooted in compassion and opportunity.
Thank you to all the father figures who guide, support, and love: biological dads, stepdads, foster dads, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, teachers, coaches, and every caregiver who helps children grow into hopeful, resilient adults.

We were thrilled Eric J. Weaknecht, State Representative was able to join us for our Annual Meeting!

I had the pleasure of attending the Bethany Children's Home annual meeting. It was wonderful to hear about the incredible impact they’ve made serving our community's youth this year, as well as their exciting vision for the future. The meeting also marked a significant transition, with the announcement of President and CEO Dr. Joseph Birli’s upcoming retirement. I want to congratulate Deputy CEO Nick Hill, who will be stepping into the role. I look forward to seeing Bethany continue to thrive and fulfill its vital mission under this new leadership.

Last week, Bethany Children’s Home hosted its Annual Meeting, providing an opportunity to celebrate team member milestones and accomplishments while reflecting on the past year’s achievements. We also witnessed a meaningful leadership transition as Dr. Birli passed the torch, or in Bethany’s case, the lamppost to incoming CEO Nick Hill.

Congratulations to our May Team Member of the Month, Mike McWilliams!

Mike has been a valued member of the Bethany team for the past 15 years. As our Educational Programming Supervisor, he is a dedicated advocate for the youth at B*H and is committed to developing programs and groups that best meet their needs and support their growth.

Adding to his accomplishments, Mike recently graduated from Leadership Berks through United Way of Berks County, further strengthening his leadership skills and enhancing his ability to support both his team and the youth we serve.
