Makers Mill

Makers Mill A nonprofit makerspace & vocation hub in Wolfeboro, NH. Creativity. Community. Hands-on learning. https://www.makersmill.org

We are building a makerspace & vocational hub open to all levels of makers: students, hobbyists, and professionals; providing a place where people have access to tools and equipment for tinkering, fixing, repairing, inventing, building, designing, producing, crafting, iterating, and innovating. Our space will include a woodshop, metal & machining shop, Fablab, and studios for fabric & fine arts, jewelry, media/technology, and workplace development.

🌿 New Class Alert! 🌿

This one is seriously fun. Courtney recently did a trial run of this workshop and one participant said, “This class was so Zen!” Another shared how grounding, relaxing, and enjoyable it was to create alongside others.

Join us Saturday, June 6, 11am-3pm and create your own preserved moss shadow box — a beautiful nature-inspired piece of art that stays vibrant for years with zero maintenance. No experience needed, just bring yourself and enjoy a few hours of creativity, connection, and calm.

Perfect for anyone looking to slow down, make something beautiful, and try something new.

Let's fill this one up! 🌿

🛠️ Repair Café is happening today from 1–4 PM at Makers Mill!

Got something broken? Bring it by and let's see if we can give it a second life.

And while you're here, take a stroll through the Makers Marketplace! It's packed with beautiful handmade work including wood-turned bowls, leather goods, stained glass, fine art, jewelry, and some incredible upcycled pieces from this year's fashion show.
Come fix stuff. Come shop. Or just come check out the Mill and see what's happening.
We'll be here. 😊

A little peek at what's happening around the Mill this week...

🛠️ Repair Café is this Sunday from 1–4 PM!
One of my favorite things about Repair Café is that it's never really about the broken toaster, lamp, chair, or vacuum. It's about the conversations that happen around the repair. Come by with something that needs fixing, learn a few tricks, meet some interesting people, and see what Makers Mill is all about.

Let us know what you're bringing:

Ready to learn a new skill?
🧶 Beginner Crochet kicks off Tuesday evening. If you've been crochet-curious but weren't sure where to start, this friendly 3-part series is for you. Grab one of the remaining spots and join us.

🔨 Intro to Woodworking starts Wednesday, and this class fills a request we hear all the time: "I want to learn woodworking, but I don't know where to begin." Over four weeks, you'll learn the fundamentals, build a project, and gain confidence in the shop along the way.

Whether you're fixing something old or learning something new, we'd love to see you at the Mill this week.

Every month we hear some version of:
“I’ve always wanted to learn woodworking, but I didn’t know where to start.”

Well… this is where to start.

This 4 part woodworking series with Mike Wenger is designed for beginners and curious makers who want real hands on experience in the woodshop. Students will build either a simple wooden bench or a toolbox while learning foundational skills like measuring, cutting, sanding, assembly, and supervised use of a variety of hand and power tools.

You don’t need prior experience , just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Mike has guided more than 1000 students through woodworking projects over 20+ summers of teaching, and he’s incredibly supportive and approachable in the shop.

Starts Wednesday June 3 and runs for 4 Wednesdays from 5–8pm:
June 3, 10, 17, and 24.

Class size is intentionally small with only 5 spots total, so everyone gets plenty of guidance along the way.
If woodworking has been on your “maybe someday” list, we’d love to see you at the Mill!
