In 1999, Great Waters reached a major milestone—opening its very first brick-and-mortar office in the Laker Building! 🏢

And with it came a big upgrade: their very first computer… a Dell. 💻

Great Waters Ambassadors are the friendly faces who help make our concerts possible, and we are looking for more volunteers to join the team!

Whether you enjoy welcoming guests, helping behind the scenes, or supporting our mission in the community, there is a place for you. Ambassadors can assist with ushering, parking, security, merchandise sales, will call and ticketing, raffle ticket sales, advertising outreach, office support, distributing posters and brochures, and much more.,

We’re always honored to welcome legends to the Great Waters stage—and few shine brighter than Judy Collins ✨

After gracing our Great Waters concerts multiple times over the years. From her first appearance with us in 1999 to her latest in 2024, Judy continues to inspire audiences everywhere with her timeless voice and storytelling.

This summer, we’re thrilled to see her take the stage at the Capital Center for the Arts in Concord as part of her *Sweet Judy Blue Eyes: Farewell Tour*. As she begins this final chapter on the road, it’s a special opportunity to experience a true icon live.

Barbara Lobdell has never met a name tag she couldn’t make her own.

From Board Member to Board Chair to Executive Director, to Emerita, and back again to Board Chair—she’s basically collected titles the way some people collect backstage passes.

Different name tags, same steady presence, and somehow she keeps raising the bar every time we swap the lanyard. Here’s to the many roles, the many seasons, and the one and only Barbara who makes them all look effortless.

📍 Did you know? In 1998, the very first Great Waters tent rose on the grounds of Brewster Academy—a rented tent built to seat 800 guests.

Out of 800 seats, 795 were sold, setting the tone for remarkable years ahead.

That first tent marked the start of something special: music, community, and summer tradition under canvas. 🎶✨
