Most all of you know that since we obtained our 501c3, we are now Westie Central, Inc.
We’ve been around since 2012 when we started as a small regional rescue and have grown to cover not only NY and surrounding regions, but most of the eastern US wherever there are no rescues, or when a rescue needs support or can’t take a dog.
We’ve done a good job and rescued a lot of dogs. We have also taken a lot of dogs into our hospice program that otherwise wouldn’t have made it and gotten them the medical care they needed, and let them live out their lives being loved and cherished. Right now we have 8 dogs in our program, and 6 of those are in hospice. Our two newbies both have significant medical needs. And we are in trouble. For the first time since we took in our first Westie, we are in the red. Last year we spent nearly $60,000 on vet bills, medications, food and other necessities for our precious babies.
I have exhausted my personal resources and maxed my credit cards. I can no longer fill in the funding gaps with personal resources.
We have dogs with urgent medical needs, and no money to do it. We desperately need your help. Please give what you can, today. Even a few dollars helps. The consequences of not reaching this first goal is unthinkable.
