Congratulations to the best mentor ever, Kyle Herren! Kyle is a Team MAX alumni and has been mentoring Team MAX since 2020. Kyle encourages and supports us through everything, whether it's outreach initiatives or robot design.
His fun personality and positive demeanor makes the team a welcoming place that students can be a part of. When working with him he never judges or gets frustrated with us, even when we ask silly questions! We are so lucky to have you as our mentor Kyle!

The Wolcott Robotics Foundation is pleased to announce that our 2025 Team MAX Alumni Award recipient is Youssef "Joey" Macary! Joey graduated from the team in 2022, and did not delay his jump into volunteerism following high school. Joey served as President of the Wolcott Robotics Foundation from 2022-24, setting it up on a course for long-term success. Joey also founded the Tolland County Robotics Foundation (TCRF) in 2023, during his freshman year of college. The TCRF now serves more than 225 students with nearly 50 FIRST teams. Joey also serves as the Regional Lead Judge Advisor and as a Volunteer Coordinator and Event Director for FIRST Tech Challenge in Connecticut. He has additionally been an event manager, judge, and pit administrator for FRC. Congratulations to Joey, and we thank him for his outstanding service to youth and to FIRST!
