🌟 Hello, I'm Donna Wilcox 🐾 Animal lover and cat protector. All my life I have shared my home with felines 🐱. Over the past two years, I have taken on a special mission: rescuing stray and abandoned cats in our community 🏙️. Seeing them fighting to survive, especially in winter, breaks my heart 💔. It is a constant struggle to see them have litters after litters, without having been spayed. My goal

is to break this cycle. I rescue these helpless beings, provide them with veterinary care, including sterilization, and place them in loving forever homes 🏡. If they are too wild to be adopted, I offer them a permanent, loving home in our sanctuary 🌈. Join me in this noble cause and help make a difference! 💪🐈‍⬛

Introducing Holly Berry ❤️ 🐾

During the cold Christmas season this sweet kitty was abandoned in a sealed box outside of a nice couple’s home. Luckily, they were still home, because two days later they were leaving for Florida and poor Holly would never have been found 😳😞.
Now Holly is looking for a good home! She is around a year old and extremely loving. She adores attention from her humans, but is not a cat girl. She would do best as the only kitty in her home. If you think you can give Holly a great home please message the rescue!

One last reminder that Whisker Hill Animal Rescue's Paws at the Point fundraiser is this Saturday from 12-6 p.m. We are featuring some awesome big ticket items this year, including an autographed shoe by Tyler Bass of the Buffalo Bills, two Lee Middleton limited edition collectible dolls with certificates of authenticity, a dinner for two, overnight stay in a whirlpool bath suite, and a continental breakfast at the most famous restaurant around, Russell's Italian Gardens & Grand Hotel near Buffalo, an experience you will never forget. This package is a $400 value. We are also featuring a very unique, hand-made cat tree made from solid wood, donated by one of our followers. Besides our famous basket raffle, we are featuring music and dancing, craft vendors, food truck vendors, beer, wine, and spirits for the adults, face painting, balloon art, glitter tattoo art, a petting zoo, and more. Paws at the Point is held yearly at the Sodus Point Oscar Fuerst Ballpark, near beautiful Lake Ontario, a tourist vacation destination. You haven't lived until you have experienced this scenic wonder, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Hope to see you all there!!!

A reminder that we still have spaces available for craft vendors at our upcoming fundraiser. The space is 100 sq. ft and the cost is $35.00 per space. The event this year will include an adoption event, so if you are a shelter or rescue and want to set up your booth with your felines, it is free of charge. This will be a fun event with gift baskets to auction off, including big ticket items, such as authentic Lee Middleton and/or Ashton Drake collectible dolls and a very unique, homemade cat tree donated by one of our patrons. There will be beer, wine, and spirits for the adults, food trucks selling hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken BBQ meals, ice cream, blooming onions, cotton candy, kettle corn, drinks, fried oreos, funnel cakes, and more!

Along with numerous craft vendors, Buddy the Clown will be doing balloon animals again this year, the petting zoo will be returning, a dancer/singer group will be performing, there will be face painting for the kiddos, and a sound system playing a plethora of genres enjoyable for all ages.

There will be a lot more advertising this year in local county newspapers, such as Wayne County, Monroe County, and Oswego County, and hopefully a radio spot, so we hope to see crowds of people looking for a great time!

If you are looking for an exciting day of fun-filled activities for the whole family, you won't want to miss this event! This is our second annual Paws at the Point Fundraiser being held at the popular vacation destination in Sodus Point right next to the beautiful and stunning Lake Ontario beach. It won't get any better than this!!!

See you all there!! :)

To the heartless individual(s) who dropped off three helpless cats the other day, be warned that we do have surveillance, and the police will be called. How anyone can be so cruel is a mystery to me. I help all creatures. They do not deserve this. The reason I stopped taking surrender cats is because I spend all of my spare time (when I am not working a full time job) rescuing these poor, abandoned creatures. And I don't just feed them, keep them safe, warm, and loved, I get them spayed/neutered. And yes, 99% of the money used is my and my husband's. I hope you can sleep at night. Have a nice day.

Call now to connect with business.

“(These ferals) are not my problem and I shouldn’t have to fix them!”

How many times have we seen this comment from someone complaining about feral cats in their yard?

Raise your hands!! 👋👋

I want to ask these people one question...

“What makes you think WE have to fix them??”

I’ll be crystal clear here.

I NEVER wanted more than two indoor cats.

If you had told me six years ago that I’d be caring for FOURTEEN cats, I would have told you, “no way!”

Then this little Casanova brought his pregnant girlfriend to my yard.

And I honestly didn’t want to “deal with it”.

I had just lost my father. Everything in our house and my life was falling apart. My Penny’s diabetes was unregulated and my Weeny was dying of mast cell cancer.

I am JUST as “busy” as the next person.

But you know what?

SOMEBODY has to care.

These unfixed and unwanted cats and kittens are NO more MY fault than they are YOURS.

I’M not the one who failed to spay or neuter my cat. I have ALWAYS spayed and neutered every pet I’ve ever had as soon as they were old enough.

But someone needs to care.

“Those feral cats” didn’t ask to be turned out when their irresponsible owners moved away and left them behind.

“Those feral cats” didn’t ask to be born under a barn in the wild.

But somebody has to care enough to be a part of the SOLUTION.

So I stepped up.

And I promise you this, if I hadn’t stepped up to help them and break the endless cycle of unwanted kittens, the 14 cats I care for would have been HUNDREDS of cats by now.

If you can’t be a part of the solution, please stop complaining about the problem.

And stop laying blame on these cats and the people who spend THEIR TIME and THEIR MONEY to control the feral population and start placing the blame where it BELONGS...

With the irresponsible pet owners who don’t spay and neuter their pets and then dump the unwanted kittens back in the woods or in a known feral cat colony...

With the backyard breeders...

With the people who take a kitten because it’s cute, fail to fix it, and then “get rid of it” when the novelty wears off or when the cat goes in heat or urine marks...

With those who fail to fix their cats and then move away without their cat, leaving their cat to breed endlessly and fend for herself.

THESE are the people you need to harrass. NOT those who work endlessly and selflessly to fix the problem that SOMEBODY ELSE created.

Enough 🤚
