Breaking the silence, one community at a time.
Colby Siegel, Director of the Desai Foundation, reminds us that menstrual health education goes far beyond products, it's about knowledge, normalization, and self-advocacy.
Through our Asani Sanitary Napkin Program, women and girls in rural communities across India are gaining access to menstrual health education, safe products, and the confidence to speak openly about their health.

Many women are not only participating in awareness initiatives, but are also stepping forward to produce sanitary pads themselves, helping make menstrual products more accessible within their own communities.
Because every woman deserves to feel informed, supported, and heard.
Take the pledge. Spread the word. And end the stigma of menstruation today.

Two organisations. One mission. Zero tolerance for period stigma.
Desai Foundation and Aunt Flow are proud to launch a call to action for anyone who believes that menstruation should never be a source of shame, silence, or discrimination.
Period stigma shows up everywhere. In the bathrooms without disposal bins. In the ads that use blue liquid.

“Periods are entering the conversation, but not always in ways that expand access or dignity.”

In this powerful moment from the panel, Colby shares why menstrual health cannot remain just a trending conversation or political talking point. Real progress happens when awareness translates into action, access, education, and dignity for people on the ground.

From policy conversations in India to growing debates around bodily autonomy in the US, one thing remains clear: menstrual equity is a global issue that requires collective responsibility.

At the Desai Foundation, that work continues through access to menstrual products, stigma-breaking education, and community-centered programs that put dignity first.

Because awareness alone is not enough, systemic change requires all of us.

For years, periods have been treated like a “women’s topic.”

But the truth is, menstruation affects families, schools, workplaces, and entire communities.

Real change begins when fathers listen, husbands learn, teachers educate, and society stops treating periods like a taboo.

This conversation is not just about awareness.
It’s about empathy, dignity, and support.
Take the pledge to break the stigma around menstruation.

Share your voice, start the conversation, and help normalize periods for everyone.

Your period should happen as part of your life, not sideline you from it."

At our recent panel discussion, Dr. Karenne Fru, Reproductive Endocrinologist & Founder of Muna Fertility, shared this powerful insight.

For too long, menstrual pain and suffering has been normalized. Women are told to push through, to cope, to accept it. But acceptance is not the same as health.

It's time we start asking harder questions, about period health, workplace support, and the gap between what women are told is "normal" and what actually is.

Thank you, Dr. Karenne Fru, for bringing this conversation to the forefront.

“Stop all menstruation in the world and we cease to exist.”

In this powerful moment from the panel, Dr. Karenne Fru reminds us that menstrual health is not just a “women’s issue”, it is a human issue.
Reproductive health impacts everyone, yet conversations around periods continue to be stigmatized, politicized, and dismissed. Through open dialogue, education, and collective advocacy, we can create a world where menstrual health is treated with the dignity, care, and urgency it deserves.

Because menstrual health is human health.

Take a pledge and break the stigma of menstruation today. Use and tag us.

"Your v***a is amazing."
A standout moment from our panel, Florence Schechter, founder of the Va**na Museum, reminding all of us why this campaign exists in the first place.
We spend so much energy fighting stigma and shame that we forget the goal isn't just to un-shame our bodies, it's to celebrate them. To talk about them the way Florence does: with curiosity, with joy, with awe.
Grateful to Florence for bringing this energy to our panel, and for the reminder that breaking the silence is only step one. The real win? Getting to the good place.
Take the pledge today and end the silence.
