Data collected from the EPA's January-March 2019 water assessment reported that there are 3 major known contaminants in Wixom's drinking water that exceed the EWG's guidelines, these of which being haloacetic acids, radium (both -226 and -228), and total trihalomethanes, coming in at 133x, 37x, and 207x the EWG's health guidelines. I know, reports like these are not typically the easiest to understand, but it must be known that all three of these contaminants have the ability to cause cancer. Though the city of Wixom is legally abiding by the legal limit, it still does not mean that it is safe. Read more about Wixom's drinking water contaminants here:
