Are you looking for a new hobby? Or a new group to join? Or a new charity mission to be a part of?
Caring Friends of Wise needs volunteers! We would love to have you join us on Monday mornings in the fellowship hall at Wise Baptist Church from 9:30-12:00. We make lap quilts for patients receiving chemotherapy at the Cancer Center in Norton.
🧵If you have a sewing machine and know how to use it, great! You can get started right away! (And some members of our group take kits and sew at home - just in case Monday mornings aren’t good for you)
🧵 If you have a sewing machine and don’t really know how to use it, we can teach you! There’s a wealth of sewing and quilting knowledge in our group!
🧵 If you don’t have a machine but you are willing to learn and help, there is a spot for you! There’s hand-hemming, pressing, pinning, sorting jobs for all skill levels.
🧵 If you’re not really interested but you know someone who might be, pass this along and encourage them to try something new!
🧵 And if you have good quality quilting cotton that you are ready to purge, contact us to see if it’s something we can use.
We have a lot of fun sewing and sewcializing together, and we would love to add some new faces!
