🎓New Scholarship Opportunity Coming in 2027🎓

Mueller Family Scholarship:

This scholarship was established in memory of Andrew Mueller, who passed away unexpectedly from an undiagnosed peanut allergy at the age of 20. From an early age, he was drawn to trucks, and as he grew up, that fascination grew into a genuine passion for the trucking and heavy equipment industry. He pursued his CDL and went to work for a local trucking company, excited to begin a career in an industry he loved.

Although Andrew’s life was far too short, his passion and the joy he found in his work will continue through this scholarship, supporting other young people pursuing a career they love.

🎶Incourage helps keep the music alive during the 2026-2027 Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra concert series through a $3,965 grant.

🎻The grant is helping to offset unexpected expenses that arose as a result of the Sentry Theater’s construction project. We’re sorry they have been displaced, however, we are thrilled to have them perform in Wisconsin Rapids for the first time on October 10, 2026, at the Performing Arts Center!

This grant was made possible by generous donations to our Community Grants Fund as well as several donor advised funds.

Tolley Family Scholarship:

This scholarship was established by Bill Tolley to honor his parents, William and Barbara Tolley, and the many outstanding Port Edwards teachers and coaches who prepared Bill and his two brothers for their lives ahead.

Growing up listening to the experiences his father had at the Port Edwards paper mill and later working there himself, Bill gained a great respect for the skills and people needed to run our institutions, build infrastructure, and manufacture products we often take for granted. He saw a great need to educate and train the workforce of the future and hopes his family can play a part, through this scholarship, in launching JEHS students who will make a difference in their lives and communities.

$1,600 supports student participation fees and Nonprofit Day for the C.O.O.L. Teen Leadership Program.

The C.O.O.L. Teen Leadership Program, via the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, aims to improve area high school students’ understanding of Community, Occupations, Organizations, and Leadership skills to develop our next generation of leaders.

Nonprofit Day helps participating students learn about the impact, challenges, and operations of local non-profit organizations, broadening their perspective on how these organizations drive area growth and support the community.

The new Agriculture Club through the Port Edwards School District gets started with the help of a $2,500 grant from the Port Edwards Hometown (Community Grants) Fund.

This club will provide students with hands-on learning experiences, career exploration opportunities, and leadership development connected to agriculture and related industries.
