The new Agriculture Club through the Port Edwards School District gets started with the help of a $2,500 grant from the Port Edwards Hometown (Community Grants) Fund.

This club will provide students with hands-on learning experiences, career exploration opportunities, and leadership development connected to agriculture and related industries.

🎓New Scholarship Opportunity Coming in 2027🎓

The Wilbur C. Ott Memorial Scholarship:

This scholarship was established by Wilbur’s grandchildren in loving memory of a man whose life was rooted in hard work, family, and community.

Born and raised in Vesper, Wisconsin, Wilbur C. Ott grew up working on his family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep sense of responsibility. He later took over the family farm, operating it alongside his beloved wife, Delores, while building a long career at Consolidated Papers, Inc, Kraft Division, where he retired as the Services Manager.

Wilbur was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He believed strongly in the value of education and encouraged his grandchildren to pursue opportunities that would help them grow. This scholarship honors his legacy by supporting students as they continue their education and carry forward the values he lived by each day.

A $2,470 grant purchases bikes, helmets, locks and a bike rack for a local group home supporting at risk youth and young adults.

These resources support the health and wellness of individuals in need through exercise, recreation, and camaraderie.

Double your impact!

Every gift to the WRPS Angel Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, by Incourage Community Foundation - with support from an anonymous donor.

The Angel Fund provides anonymous financial assistance for families struggling to pay their students' school meal accounts in the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District, supporting students in grades K-12.

How to give:
📩 Give online using the link below.
📩 Bring cash or a check written to WRPS to any district building (main office or any school). Please write "Angel Fund" on the memo line or envelope.

Every gift makes a difference. Your donation can help feed a student for:

Scholarship payments issued! Check your email for details.

All payments were processed by ISTS, our third-party scholarship administrator, and have been distributed via ACH directly to your school. If ACH was not available, a check, made payable to your school with reference to your name, has been mailed directly to you at your home address.

If a check is mailed to you directly, it is your responsibility to deliver your scholarship check to your school’s Bursar’s office.

If you haven’t seen an email from ISTS regarding payment, be sure to check your spam or junk folder, especially if you haven’t added ISTS as a safe sender.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your scholarship payment, please contact ISTS Customer Care at 855-670-4787.

Raptor Education Group, Inc. did a great show this month at the Wisconsin Rapids Zoo. Thank you REGI for a great show and thank you to everyone who came to learn about these beautiful raptors and Rosie the albino crow.
