For someone arriving at Wisconsin Rapids Family Center during a difficult time, a clean, well maintained, welcoming environment can help create a sense of comfort, dignity, and peace.
Cleaning Volunteers help us keep our spaces welcoming and ready for the individuals and families who need them. Maintenance Volunteers assist with projects that help keep our space safe, comfortable, and functioning well. From small repairs to larger projects, your skills can make a meaningful difference for the people we serve.
Whether you enjoy cleaning, organizing, or simply want a hands-on way to make a meaningful difference, your time and effort can have a tremendous impact.
Help us create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and cared for.

Behind these numbers are our friends, family members, neighbors, coworkers and community members.
This October, look for the purple. ๐Ÿ’œ
-Notice the bridge lights glowing purple.
-Look for businesses sharing messages of support on their marquees.
-Watch for purple porch lights shining from homes throughout our community.
And then join them.

Do you love being part of the action?

From fundraising events and community activities to special projects and awareness campaigns, volunteers help bring our events to life!

Event Volunteers might help with setup, registration, activities, games, cleanup, and everything in between. Duties may also include working as a team to put out mailings or other special projects. It's a great opportunity to meet people, have fun, and support an important causeโ€”all while making a difference in our community.

And the best part? No long-term commitment is required! Sometimes we simply need extra hands for a special event or project.

Many of our favorite events wouldn't be possible without volunteers like YOU!

The statistics can be difficult to read. On just one day in 2025, domestic violence programs across the country served 84,146 victims, survivors and their childrenโ€”people reaching out for safety, support and a way forward.
But there is something each of us can do.
Show survivors they are not alone. Show our community that we stand with survivors ALWAYS. ๐Ÿ’œ

We have a unique volunteer request - Wisconsin Rapids Family Center has been asked to decorate a building front at Wakelyโ€™s Historic Pointe Basse for their Heritage Hollyday event on Dec 12th. Donations come in many formsโ€”and before they can reach the individuals and families who need them, there is plenty of work to be done!

Volunteers in our donations area help sort, organize, and prepare donated items so they are ready when someone needs them.

If you love organizing, enjoy staying busy, and appreciate the satisfaction of seeing order come from chaos, we may have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
