Preparing a shelter for a feral kitty .
My version
I have found over the years most kitty’s like an entrance and an exit in case another animal try’s to enter there haven and they need to get away .
It’s a plus & important .
So I purchased a large storage tote large enough to fit another styrofoam cooler in the middle of it ,with excess room at front and back .
I cut out front of tote end of tote same direction
Then I repeated it with the styrofoam cooler .
I stuffed with straw in cooler around cooler in front of cooler and rear of cooler in tote and so on .
Placed top back on cooler then top back on storage tote
Duct tape down and place clear slit shower curtain piece over front of door and exit end .
I made two 2️⃣ so one will be off of ground level and one up in case heavy snows .
Kitty loves it .
Remember the goal when making one is for warmth and protection .
Let me know what ya think .
And if anyone has medium size styrofoam coolers or large they are needed for inside homes as well in case power goes out .
