Winthrop is a busy place right now, the Art Festival happening! We're looking forward to getting this new mural painted.... We'll be looking for sponsors. You can donate at the link in the comments!

We'll be meeting again Thursday June 6 at 2:30pm at the Winthrop Maine Historical Society.

The committee is led by Lisa Davis, Winthrop Middle School art teacher. Our artist, Chris Blanchard, actually helped paint the original mural, and is excited to create a new mural in this space!

The first step - Thank you Day of Caring!

The mural pictured (on the side of the building at 117 Main Street) is going to be undergoing major change! A mural committee of old and new members has met to begin discussing the best approach for updating and improving the mural. The first VERY VISIBLE step will be on Friday, May 17, during "Day of Caring", when the current mural will be painted over.
