Mission Statement:
We rescue senior animals and animals in need of hospice care
with the intention of finding them loving homes, freeing them to live in comfort for their remaining years. We provide the public with: education on animal welfare, along with assistance and resources to help people effectively care for their animals. Vision:
Strawberry Fields Animal Rescue focuses on helping the most vulnerable animals; senior dogs and those near the end of life who are without homes. Our vision is a world where all senior animals get to live out their lives in a loving home to receive the care they need. We strive to support this vision by serving animals across the greater Chicagoland area through:
· Creating a robust network of foster caregivers to provide loving care to senior animals in a home environment.
· Building a center or sanctuary to support the needs of senior animals – to provide needed shelter and veterinary care in a comfortable low-stress setting
· Developing a robust hospice care program with a network of trained foster caregivers
· Providing educational programs for the community on how to care for their own senior pets. Values:
High Quality Animal Care: The welfare of our animals comes first and foremost. We endeavor to provide the animals we rescue with high quality medical and behavioral care. We aim to place animals into appropriately skilled foster homes and into loving adoptive homes that are able to meet the animal’s needs. If, for any reason, a home doesn’t work out for one of our animals we will always accept that animal back into our rescue.
· High Quality Customer Service: Our team members endeavor to treat all people with the utmost respect and highest level of customer service. This includes our foster families, potential adopters, supporters and any member of the general public we come in contact with.
