ALJ Foundation, Inc was created by LaToya Jewell and her sister in law, Britney Green.

The Jewell family is dedicated to keeping Antonio "Pootie" Jewell’s legacy alive and giving back to the community in remembrance of him. Antonio cared about the youth in our community, he mentored many young children and adults. We are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the youth in our community through the ALJ Foundation.

Giving back to the community is our primary goal and we would like to thank for the opportunity to celebrate the incredible student-athletes of the Athens area.

We are proud to support the Athens Area High School Sports Awards, presented by Next Up Sports and proudly sponsored by Piedmont Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Because the ALJ Foundation is committed to uplifting young people through opportunity, mentorship, sponsorship and community support, it was especially meaningful for us to recognize excellence in our student-athletes.

It was an honor to present the 2026 Flag Football Player of the Year: Catherine Cooper of North Oconee High School and the 2026 Football Player of the Year: RJ Knapp of Jackson County High School. 🏈🎖️
