Cheers to a New Year of hope, healing, and breakthroughs! 🥂✨

As we look back on 2025, we are deeply grateful. We’ve seen incredible bravery from our young warriors and unmatched generosity from all of you.

Together, we’ve provided parents with a reprieve to rejuvenate during their child's journey, supported three families with funeral costs, and hosted our 2nd annual live "Grief During the Holidays" sessions. We also continued our staple Thanksgiving Meals and "Holidays at Home" programs.

In 2026, our mission remains the same: to fight alongside these brave families and provide emotional support throughout their journey. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the months ahead.

Wishing you a healthy, happy, and bright 2026! 🌟🎉

Wishing our incredible community a very Merry Christmas! 🎄✨

This season is all about the spirit of giving, and we are proud to share that—thanks to your generosity—we were able to sponsor the holiday wish lists of 4 local families. 🎁

This is a tradition we’ve been honored to keep alive every year since 2021. For families navigating the complexities of childhood cancer, these gifts are more than just items under a tree; they represent a community coming together to bring a sense of normalcy, joy, and magic back into their homes.

Whether you are celebrating at home or spending the day in a hospital room, or lost a child to cancer, please know that our hearts are with you.

From all of us at Gabby's Legacy Organization, Merry Christmas! ❤️🎗️

On November 15, 2025, Gabby’s Legacy Organization (GLO) hosted a powerful and heartwarming event, “Grief During the Holidays: A Time of Remembrance and Support,” offering a safe and nurturing space for families who’ve lost a child to pediatric cancer.

The event brought together families for a day of connection, reflection, and healing as we approach the holiday season. Attendees were supported through a keynote by grief educator Natasha Smith, a touching panel discussion with Sharon Hopkins and Calvin Bradley, Jr., and thoughtful breakout sessions designed for both parents and children.

A highlight of the day was the distribution of curated gift bags, filled with items like shadow boxes, lavender candles, grief journals, and wind chimes — each carefully chosen to offer comfort and remembrance.

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers, volunteers, and the generous support from West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., for making this event possible. 💙

We will continue Gabby’s legacy of supporting families on this difficult journey. If you or someone you know could benefit from GLO's resources, visit our website (https://gabbyslegacy.org/) to learn more.

🎗️ As September Comes to a Close... 🎗️

We wrap up Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with hearts full of hope and deep gratitude for the brave children and families who face this fight every day. 💛 Your strength inspires us to keep advocating, raising awareness, and supporting families.

But the fight doesn’t end here.

🌸 As we move into October, many will shift their focus to Breast Cancer Awareness Month — honoring the survivors, remembering those lost, and standing with everyone still battling this disease.

Let’s carry the spirit of awareness, compassion, and action from September into October and beyond. 💪💗

What Causes Childhood Cancer?

🔬 Most childhood cancers aren't caused by lifestyle or environmental factors.

Instead, they often result from DNA changes (mutations) that occur early in life or even before birth.

That’s why early detection, research, and treatment options tailored for children are so crucial. These kids didn’t do anything to cause cancer—they just need our support. 🎗

Survival Rates Have Improved

🌟 There's Progress in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer!

Today, 85% of children with cancer survive 5 years or more—a huge improvement from the 58% survival rate in the 1970s. 📈

This progress is thanks to research, awareness, and better treatments, but there's still more work to be done. Every child deserves a full life beyond cancer. 💪💛
