The Community Foundation was proud to support the acquisition of the 422-acre Jim Wooley Family Tract. Now owned by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the land is open to the public. The tract includes more than 180 acres of woodland and 160 acres of grassland, including areas that likely contain remnant prairie. We were grateful for the opportunity to contribute alongside the conservation leaders who brought this project together.

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the creation of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to support and advance the Chamber's mission of strengthening our communities, businesses, and local economy.
The Foundation was created to invest in projects and initiatives that will have a lasting impact on Madison County. Its first major project is the development of the Madison County Business Resource & Innovation Center, which will transform the upstairs of the Chamber building into a space dedicated to entrepreneurship, workforce development, business education, collaboration, and community growth.
This is just the beginning, and we're excited to share more about the Foundation's work in the months ahead.

The St. Charles IA Fire & Rescue received a $4,214.29 check to assist with the purchase a new extraction hydraulic ram. The check was presented by GMCCF Board Member Becky Knight (middle) and accepted by (left to right) Steve Downs, Travis Egli, and Rick Schaffer.

The second photo shows the older equipment being replaced. The previous ram operated using the fire truck's hydraulic system, while the new unit is battery-powered, providing greater mobility and flexibility during rescue operations.

Our volunteer fire departments play a critical role in keeping our communities safe. Supporting them can take many forms, including volunteering your time, helping with station upkeep and cleaning, providing snacks and meals during training or emergency responses, or considering joining the department as a volunteer. Every contribution helps strengthen these essential community services.
