First off a BIG thank you to those who volunteered to work in the concession stand and the band students who showed up to work. We survived and I truly appreciate you!!

How about the Blizzards basketball team going 4-0 in the Holiday Tournament. Day 1 they played Paint Rock and Hico. The score was Paint Rock- 44 Winters- 57 and then at 5:45 they turned around to play Hico and won 41-31. Day 2 started early for the Blizzards at 10:15am playing Olney and winning 49-46. Then they had the last game at 5:45pm and the score was Roby- 26 Winters- 56. The boys next game will be against Ballinger at home on Tuesday, December 31st and this a district home opener for the boys.

The Varsity girls went 2-2 in the Holiday Tournament. Day 1 they played Junction and Munday. The score was Junction- 28 Winters- 41 and then at 4:30 they turned around to play Munday and won 72-35. Day 2 started early for the Lady Blizzards at 9am playing Hico and the girls dropped that game 41-22. Then they had to wait to play until 4:30pm against Abilene Christian High School and the score was ACHS- 35 Winters- 11. The girls next game will be against Ballinger as well at home on Tuesday, December 31st. Come out and support all 4 teams.

Last week the Varsity boys and girls played in the Robert Lee tournament both teams went 2-3. The varsity boys beat Highland and Bronte and varsity girls beat Highland and TLCA. The boys had 2 players named to the All Tournament team Coy Martinez and Jonah Whitaker. The boys next game is Tuesday, December 10th at Eula with the JV tipping off at 6pm and Varsity at 7:15pm. The Varsity girls start district play on Friday, December 12th at 6pm in Colorado City. Good luck to both teams and keep pushing and grab some rebounds!!
