Last night (10/13/26) Winter Lions enjoyed a very wonderful meal hosted by Patti's on 70, held a brief monthly meeting AND celebrated the induction of 6 new members by Lions District Governor Barb Dulmes. Governor Barb presented awards to a few deserving members, gave a short presentation explaining the various global causes for health and well being that Lions work together to make the world a better place. This is why Winter Area Lions hold fundraisers such as Septemberfest on Saturday, September 19, and we appreciate that you attend, enjoy and participate in the raffles. $500 donated to Cub Scout Pack 55 to help them get re-established. They needed funds for training the leaders, for uniforms, t-shirts, etc. Contact Nikki Lynch for more information about Girl Scouts ages K-12.

Thank you to Terry Petit for celebrating both Harvest Fest and Trout Fest parades and honoring Winter Area Lions, using their float. We appreciate that Winter July Jubilee Queen Mady Petit and first & second runner ups, Peyton Novak and Olivia Lynch supported their community at Trout Fest, as pictured.

Enjoy the Winter Area Lions photos from July Jubilee. Prince Paul Velazquez, Princess Briggs Cody and Out-going Queen Allison Roberts shared the ride down main street in the parade. Lion Patti Helsing and Bill Rubenzer traveled in the jeep pulling the float and Lions Shaun Melarvie, Mike O'Mara, Jody & Larry Douglas and friends walked behind the float and handed out beads as souvenirs. As you walk through the Main Street door of the Winter Co-op, you will see this large yellow mail box type structure. Please use it for donating your eyeglasses, hearing aids and cell phones to Winter Area Lions Club. It is important that you recycle all these items, as volunteers clean, sort, and distribute them to people in need, primarily in developing countries, who otherwise would not have access to them.
