Hello Riders!!
Another great weekend! The temps were warm but the trails remained good and withstood the weekend!
Now into the new week. It’s hard to say what this next weekend will look like. As of right now the snow in the woods is good, bumpy due to the weekend traffic’s but coverage is good. So maybe ok to say fair-good conditions depends my on location. There are of course some bare/muddy spots but most of the wooded trails still have a base and snow on and off the trails. Of course that will get soft with temps today and tomorrow but again, with the wooded coverage and shade they stay protected. Not a lot of traffic out there today so the trails won’t be damaged. When the temps get back down the groomers will be back out, perhaps mid-week. The trails out by the roads have bare spots and are “snirty”, that is to be expected. Do not judge all trails by those by the road you see when driving by.
The lakes are good. This afternoon and tomorrow they will get slushy on the top layer but again, not much traffic so should freeze back up at night as the temps drop below freezing each night this week. Towards the weekend the day temps are going to be below freezing again.
They are calling for snow this week, it’s hard to keep up which day as the days and amounts keep changing! As of now some mix tomorrow night. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all show some snow, we have heard anything from 1-3” a couple of those days and 4-8” on one day, it’s hard to say right now. Any little bit is very welcomed! In fact even just 3” would really freshen things up! Stay tuned and we will update as soon as we see changes!
While the temps are confusing to our emotions, the season is not done! If we get some fresh snow at the end of this week and some next week as forecast is showing that will carry us through! We have been very spoiled this winter, finally after being patient! This is the first week all season we have to report to sit back and do the snow dance for a little sprucing up!
We will continue to share updates as we move through the week.
