The story of our friend Makhset is truly incredible!
Many years ago, I was imprisoned because of my Christian faith, and my life was in great danger. Humanly speaking, there seemed to be no hope. But God answered the prayers of many faithful American brothers and sisters. Through their prayers, their love, and the support that came through the United States (and Sweden), God opened the door to my freedom and protected my family.
Because of God's mercy, I stand here today as a free man. My testimony is only one among many. Through God's work and the faithful service of countless Americans, many persecuted believers around the world have also received freedom, protection, hope, and a new future. For this reason, I will always thank God for America.
For 250 years, America has stood as a symbol of liberty and hope. Throughout these years, God has used this nation in extraordinary ways—not only to defend freedom but also to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Through America, thousands of missionaries have carried the Good News to every continent. Millions of people have heard the Gospel, countless churches have been planted, and countless lives have been transformed by the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Today, I am one of the living testimonies of God's work through America.
I will always pray that God will bless America, bless its people, bless its leaders, and continue to use this great nation to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to every tribe, every language, and every nation. May God continue to use America as an instrument of His love, mercy, justice, and salvation.
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." — Psalm 33:12
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." — John 8:36
With love and prayers,
From our family and from the believers of Central Asia
