It's February so that means a Friendship Campout with both Crew and Troop 196. This year it was held at Tomoka State Park.
The group camp was awesome. Our site was right off the river and next to the fishing dock. While the troop worked on their Motorboating requirements, the rest of us went out on the canoes, fished, or explored the coastline. Later the Crew also got the opportunity to explore the river by motorboat, too! Thank you to Shawn for bringing out his power boat and sharing his expertise.
Some amazing meals were cooked. The Troop made an awesome Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo from scratch and the crew created a Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. For dessert there was the troop's peanut butter brownie and the crew's fresh blueberry and lemon dump cake.
The weather added a bit of character to the weekend with drizzle all Friday night, fog and heavy breeze Saturday, and a gorgeous morning on Sunday. We woke up to a campsite filled with robins.
