The Lions Club is excited to host a community shoe drive! We are collecting gently worn shoes and boots in all sizes, for both adults and children.
As long as the footwear is still wearable, it can be donated to individuals in developing countries who resell the shoes in local markets. These sales help families increase their average income from about $2 per day to as much as $20–$40 per day, creating a meaningful path toward greater financial stability. And it keeps those shoes out of landfills!
Our goal is to collect 2,250 pairs of shoes! Please have a look through your closets and tell your friends.
