The WPHS Foundation was established in 1992 as a 501(c)3 organization to provide additional support to WPHS in order to bridge the gap between county and state educational funding. All gifts are fully tax-deductible and will qualify for an employer match, if your employer has such a program. Also, the Foundation is an all-volunteer organization with modest administrative expenses, allowing it to devote at least 98% of your gift to the school. Recent Initiatives have included:
* 6 Hand sanitizer stations for main campus & 9GC
* Landscape beautification on Main Campus
* Total renovation of the main campus Media Center, both floors
* Main campus shade over cafeteria courtyard and pool
* 90 TI-Nspire CX II and CX II Graphing calculators for the math department
* Main campus state-of-the-art collegiate weight room
* New lawn mower for WPHS Athletics
* New surrey bike for WPHS students with disabilities
* New chairs for the WPHS College and Career Center
* New field, track, scoreboard and lockers at Showalter Field
* Complete sound and lighting renovation of the Ann Derflinger Auditorium
* Additional simulators to enhance the Aviation program
* Annual Fall and Spring Grant donations to student clubs, organizations and teams.
* The Galloway Aquatic Center
* New band equipment
* New seating for the Ninth Grade Center auditorium
* The new Fitness Trail
* Renovations to the ROTC training field
* New whiteboards, servers, and computers at the main campus
* Many annual "teacher wish list" items
