A huge thank you to the volunteers who recently spent time at our Resource Center helping with a clean-up and organization project, including the dedicated Pathway of Promise student volunteers from Winter Park High School.
Their hard work helped prepare our spaces for some exciting refreshes that are coming soon, and we can't wait to share them with you!
We are so grateful for volunteers who roll up their sleeves and help create welcoming spaces for the families we serve. ✨

Community Partner Shoutout! πŸ’š

A huge thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Orlando and the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation for helping us welcome a new 2025 Chrysler Pacifica to the Family Promise fleet!

This vehicle will help us better serve families across our community by supporting transportation needs, shelter operations, moving assistance, and more.

As the second vehicle in our fleet, this generous investment will help us remove barriers and create opportunities for the families we serve every day.

Thank you for helping us go the extra mile. 🚐

What a day! πŸŽ’πŸ’š

On July 25, nearly 500 community members came together for our Back to School Bash, helping over 120 families and nearly 300 students start the school year prepared and confident.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was hearing from two Family Promise families who shared what this support means to them and how community has helped them navigate challenging seasons.

We're especially grateful to Calvary Orlando for hosting the event, providing lunch for attendees, and helping create a fun and welcoming environment for families.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, partnered, and showed up to make this event such a success.

Congregation Partner Shoutout πŸ’š

This year, St. Luke's United Methodist Church went above and beyond by stuffing and donating more than 250 backpacks for our 7th Annual Back to School Bash, happening this Saturday from 10 AM–1 PM at Calvary Orlando (1199 Clay St., Winter Park).

Their generosity is about so much more than school supplies. It's about helping children start the school year feeling prepared and excited for what's ahead. Thanks to partners like St. Luke's, hundreds of local students will walk into their classrooms with confidence to succeed.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our mission and for the many ways they show love and care for families in our community. πŸŽ’πŸ’™

A new chapter begins. πŸ’š

Earlier this month, we welcomed a family of six into one of our transitional homes after they spent two years living in a hotel following the loss of their housing due to Hurricane Milton.

Through every setback, Mom never stopped fighting for her family, working multiple jobs and pursuing housing opportunities that repeatedly fell through. Now, they finally have a place to call home.

While this move is a significant milestone, their journey toward long-term stability continues. We are honored to walk alongside them as they build a brighter future.

A special thank you to RLH Residential, LLC and the Haines Family Foundation for refurbishing and furnishing the home, helping create a warm, welcoming space for this family's new beginning. 🏑

On June 25, we welcomed families from our Shelter and Stabilization programs to our Resource Center and Community of Christ Church for our latest Community Learning Lab, centered on mental health and well-being.

The evening brought families together to share a meal, connect with one another, and learn about resource navigation through AdventHealth's Whole Health Hub. Participants also enjoyed guided yoga and wellness-focused activities that encouraged self-care and healthy living.

Children in our programs took part in yoga and enjoyed a special storytime led by a guest from the Orange County Library System.

It was a meaningful evening of learning, connection, and community-building. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, including Winter Park High School’s Pathway of Promise student club volunteers!
