I wanted to take a photo of this cute and interesting little kid. Afterwards, his dad very humbly asked for a donation (he may have softly said "help") . I mumbled something about only having 100 rupee notes. I don't always donate, but it wasn't pushy at all with no insistence, so I went and got the kid a bag of peanuts - 10 rupees (15 cents). The dad was very grateful and told the kid to see what baba brought and kept calling me "baba" and told the boy to take it. The dad was sweet. I was surprised how readily/quickly the little boy dropped what i thought were his prized balloons (and whatever) to take the gift. I tried to take a photo of the handing-over action so I could post it to the WE ONE page just to show the kind of things we do all day when roaming, but it didn't come out. So, i asked for the peanuts back to try it again. He handed the bag back without, any hesitation, grasping or fuss, and we snapped the shot (yes, i know, artificial. But i told you the reality/truth now). The boy dropped the plastic bag full of little balloons. Also unexpectedly to me (for some reason), the dad and his pals let the little kid have a go at opening the package and didn't take ask for the peanuts themselves. The dad thanked me.

THE RDI AND BEEJAKSHARYA MUSEUM REFURBISHING IN BHOPAL WE ONE WORKED SO EFFORTFULLY AND DILIGENTLY TO GET THINGS DONE IS A SUCCESS! I will post photos when I have tine.
An NGO which helps underprivileged kids brought a whole group of kids. The adults were even swinging on the vines of the sacred banyan tree. The kids were uo in the tree making all kinds of noises. How lovely. Things can be so natural, here.

So, last year We One began working with one of Bhopal's oldest NGOs which was completely neglected for years in in danger of losing it's status and the full acre in one of the best neighborhoods in Bhopal. RDI is a Resource Development Institute, Community and Educational center, and has a museum full of some kind of world class sculptures made from stones which resemble forms. My present visa does not allow me to do much work for an NGO, so I will mostly be helping fund the museum hall renovation and giving direction. Luckily, labor is very inexpensive in India. Here are some photos of RDI and my assistant and I working. We worked sooooooo hard for 4 1/2 months, and it was not easy and very gritty at times. Check out the two before and after photos of one of the rooms we fixed up. Here are some photos. Many more to follow. WE ONE

Years ago, We One helped bring a dentist to a village school to give dental care, dental health education, and some healthy snacks to the kids. This dentist has asked me to work with him in the coming years doing service in another city where he bought some property and there are many poor people around.
