Across Central Florida, students have spent years learning, training, serving families, and preparing for this work. Now, as you step into the next chapter of your midwifery careers, we’re celebrating everything it took to get here.

Join CFBN on October 10 as we celebrate the student midwives who have put in the work, learned the skills, and are stepping into the next chapter of their midwifery journeys. This is a chance to celebrate their accomplishments, connect with fellow birth workers, and have a little fun along the way. 💜

OK... but HOW? 👀

When labor gets intense, partners deserve more than a vague assignment. They deserve to know what’s happening, how to help, what to ask, and when to speak up. And that support doesn’t stop when baby arrives.

CFBN + Empowered Black Doula are creating the Hands-On Dads & Partners Birth Prep Workshop, a FREE, interactive series designed to help fathers and partners feel more prepared before, during and after birth.

Because “just be supportive” isn’t exactly a lesson plan. 😂

It’s National Midwifery Week, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate the midwives who keep showing up for their communities.

Midwifery is more than a profession. It’s a model of care rooted in listening, relationship, education, informed decision-making, and trust. Midwives bring that approach to pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, reproductive health, and so much more.

At CFBN, we’re proud to work alongside midwives, student midwives, and midwife-led practices throughout Central Florida. So this week, we’re celebrating you.

To the midwives who have been doing this for decades, the newer midwives finding their footing, and the students preparing to step into the profession: thank you for the work you do and the care you bring to our communities.

It takes a village 💜

CFBN was grateful to be part of the Empowered Community Baby Shower, bringing volunteers, resources, good energy, and a good time to a day focused on supporting local families.

Many of our volunteers already work in maternal health as L&D nurses, midwives, or students preparing to enter the field. They spent their Saturday showing up for mothers and parents, helping them feel supported and informed during one of the biggest moments of their lives.

The theme was “It Takes a Village,” and it really did.

It took the families who came ready to connect, the community partners who shared resources, and the volunteers who showed up with care and good vibes to make the day special. We’re grateful to have been part of this village and to support the people who support our community. 💜

We've officially entered fall, so you know what that means… SWEATAH WEATHA! 🍂

And yes, we know it’s still Florida, but that has never stopped us from pretending it’s hoodie season.

Our CFBN sweaters are back just in time for fall, and this time, your cozy purchase is helping support the work of the network. Every sweater purchased helps CFBN continue creating opportunities for independent maternal and child health providers to connect, learn, collaborate, and show up for their communities.

We’re getting ready for the Empowered Community Baby Shower on October 3rd, and we’re especially excited about the doulas behind it.

These folks have spent years showing up for pregnant and postpartum families, while also mentoring and pouring into the next generation of doulas. That kind of community care deserves support, too!

So we’re bringing volunteers, resources, and CFBN love to the event. Because when we support doulas, they can keep showing up for the families who need them.

That’s what CFBN is all about. 💜 See you October 3rd!
