As we celebrate and remember all of the brave men and women who died for our country on this Memorial Day weekend, CFLSRA would also like to show the results of our charity work last year. One of our chosen charities was Flight to Honor Lakeland, which brings veterans on a flight to Washington D.C. and organizes a celebratory welcome home party. Through proceeds from our shows like the Fathers' Day Rod Run (2026's show coming June 27!), we were able to donate $3,000 to the Flight to Honor last year. Several of our members also attended the most recent Honor Flight on May 5, 2026. We are so thankful not only to our veterans, but also to everyone who supports our work to give back to local charities, and we're proud of the work our members put in to these activities to make them not only successful for all, but also to help raise these funds. If you'd like to support our work for our charities this year (The Mission of Winter Haven and Meals on Wheels Winter Haven) check out our big show, the Fathers' Day Rod run, in Christina Park on June 27!!

And just to keep everyone protected, do NOT give your information to anyone via messenger. The only way to sign up for our shows is with the official registration form, found on our website under the event information, that can be printed and mailed, and we will not ask for money to be sent to an individual via any electronic means. Our page members are trying to delete and block scammers, but the scammers are fast sometimes to comment.

One of our charities last year (2025) was Flight to Honor. Please help make this the biggest welcome home celebration yet for these deserving veterans.

The Council wishes to publicly thank the Lakeland Concert Band for playing patriotic music for free to entertain the crowd as we await the arrival each year.

We’re looking for car lovers to come show off their rides at our “Cruising for Our Seniors” Community Car Show at Haines City Health Care! This special event is all about bringing joy to our seniors and connecting with the community.
We welcome classic cars, modern cars, ATVs, slingshots, motorcycles, and more to come out and be part of the fun.

Does anybody have a recommendation??

Hey Everyone! I’m pretty new to this club and the area and I need some help and/or direction. I recently purchased a 1970 modified Maverick which ran great when I bought it. However, since putting two tankfuls of highest in it, it bogs down like it’s too rich or starving for fuel. Full tune up and new carb has been done. Any suggestions how to approach or were a good shop is near Winter Haven. TIA

The club had a lovely social today at our President's house where it was good to gather and see all who came, new and old members, join together and enjoy a great meal and good company. Thanks to everyone who could make it, the hosts, and cooks.
If you're interested in joining our club to participate in some of our social events outside of public car shows and meetings, the application for membership can be found on our website www.CFLSRA.com. The only criteria for membership is to have a love of cars, be 18+ years old, and pay your yearly dues. Our club has grown by 17 members this year, and we're always happy to have new faces join us.
