Together, we had the opportunity to uplift others by distributing these bags through our partnerships with the Talbot House in Lakeland, the Mission of Winter Haven, the Travis Doodles Street Ministry in Lakeland, and St. Joseph Charities of Winter Haven.

Through our WeCare Volunteer Health Care Provider Program, we support those in need in Polk County, thanks to our dedicated volunteer providers.

Founded in 1998 by the Polk County Medical Association, We Care of Central Florida increases access to specialty health care services, laboratory tests, and procedures for low-income, uninsured residents.

In addition, we operate five projects:

1. Project Think Pink: Free mammograms and breast care for uninsured residents.

2. Project New Sight: Free vision health services to enhance quality of life.

3. Project Ride to Health: Free transportation through Uber Health to improve healthcare access.

4. Project Helpful Hearts: Free durable medical equipment for individuals with mobility impairments.

5. Project Ride to Wellness: Free weekly Uber rides to grocery stores and food pantries.

The Mental Health HUB, right here in Winter Haven connects individuals and families with local resources, support services, crisis assistance, and treatment options. Taking the first step can be difficult, but reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Together, we can build a healthier, more connected community where everyone knows support is available when they need it most.

WeCare of Central Florida is a premier referral program with a vast network of volunteer Specialty Care Physicians, diagnostic and surgical facilities, and hospital partnerships. As the demand for our services grows, we need specialty healthcare physicians to see just 1-2 patients per month in their offices.

Through our partnership with the State of Florida Volunteer Health Care Provider Program, you’ll receive Sovereign Immunity—state-sponsored malpractice coverage. As a volunteer provider, you can have your bi-annual medical license fee waived and earn 25% of the CME credits needed for relicensing, while we cover the costs of labs and procedures for referred patients.

Importantly, 100% of our fundraising and private donations go directly to patient care, ensuring that every dollar you contribute supports those in need, with no funds spent on administrative costs.
