“They don’t want your money, they just want to help”
When we first met this family last week, and learned from one of our kids that they had a two month old baby with very little in the way of supplies. I had one of my teenage translators tell this young mother that we had diapers, clothing, stroller, even a crib if she wanted it. At first, she smiled and nodded, but then looked concerned.
In a lower voice, she spoke to Ellia and then Ellia responded. My Spanish being limited, I asked what was said. The mother indicated that she would appreciate it, but was worried about the cost, to which Ellia responded “they don’t want your money, they just want to help”
We are able to do this for so many families because of the generous gifts of clothing, food, and money from believers like you. It is the children from these neighborhoods that are doing the serving, raising up the next generation of servant leaders.
