ISO of a good provider of sod. We are installing a soccer field in Mulberry at our new Refuge location. :)

What a blessing we received from Pate ACE Home & Hardware of Winter Haven (formerly Home Furniture and More of Bartow). They donated so much furniture, it took 3 trucks and a large trailer just to pick it all up. A blessing that large can also be a challenge, so Browning moving, (Kids Pack) and Bobby Williams for Florida Governor (The Freedom Church) provided the trucks at no cost. Yvena, Rasheed, and Alex from FX provided the muscle as my wife and I were out of state.

We encounter families every week who are in need of these items for a variety of reasons. These resources gives us a way to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a tangible way and opens doors for us to build relationships.

It will take many man (and woman) hours to sort through and get it to these families, but it is such a joy to do I hesitate to use the word "work". Want to join us as we "serve Jesus by Serving others" ? Message me and we will get you plugged in

ISO volunteers, 16 and older, to help with an event benefiting Kids Pack: a great organization that provides thousands of weekend meals for children in need. This is a fun event with great food, live music, and will count towards your teens community service hours.

We had to meet the Fire inspector today, and walked in during praise and worship. You would’ve thought two celebrities walked in the room. 😂

Have your children outgrown their backyard playground? Does it still have some life in it? 😃
If so, Faith Xtreme Academy would love to add one to our campus as our little school continues to grow. We have a great team of teens who can disassemble and transport it.

“Thank you so much for the Jordans”

He was the last boy on the bus on my route tonight after club, and that’s what he said to me. I was a little confused, so he went on to explain: “Rasheed noticed that my shoes were pretty worn out, so he took me over to the Refuge Resource center and found these for me, can you believe, they’re the exact right size?”

He went on to say that he’s never had shoes this nice before, mainly Walmart off brands. He said “and those shoes are fine because who wants to spend a lot of money on shoes that are gonna wear out…but I’ve got to admit, it’s gonna be really cool having something this nice.” 😃

Everything we have at resource center is donated by families who know what we are doing in this community. Freely we receive, so freely we give. I have no idea where those shoes came from, or the jacket that he picked up tonight, so to that unknown donor let me end with what he said to me.

I often think we should write a book about how many TIMES God is exactly ON TIME. 

Received this request for diapers and formula at 1:18 while I was waiting for Kids Pack to load donations they received onto our trailer.  17 minutes later, look at what is being loaded… not just diapers, but the right size diapers. The final picture is of the kids who are so happy, not only for the necessities, but for the other items we were able to provide.

Everything you see in this picture was freely given to us, so that we can freely give to others in need. All of this to deepen relationships and demonstrate  what the gospel looks like in action.
