Devotions time
Matthew 9:10-13
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a] For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Jesus did not support what the sinners were doing, but it didn't keep Him from loving them. Jesus chose to eat with the sinners because they needed to know about repentance and there is forgiveness.

Devotions time
Ephesians 1:19
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
God never intended any of us to go through life on our own power. He want a personal connection with us. God gives us the power to do things we wouldn't be able to do on your own. God's power can raise Jesus from the dead is the same power to start over when you feel like you want to give up. The same power to forgive, to overcome habits and addictions that are holding you back. That's Resurrection power.

Wednesday night grab and go feedings turned out awesome. Thanks to Ms Jan Kirk, Ishmealla and Ms Sara we served 57 meals. I don't know what Jan and I would do without this group, God is good.

God is good. Our buddies Brian Flores and Matthew Gamwell along with the guys from Refuge on the Ridge will be helping with the Fish Fry on Friday. Matt is bringing his big turkey fryer and 30 pounds fish. Thank-you guys for your support. See everyone on Friday for good food and awesome fellowship.

Devotions time
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord.
20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Jesus was the perfect example of overcoming evil. When they cursed and spit on him and called him names, he did not return evil with evil. When Jesus died on the cross and surrendered to the will of his father, he overcame evil with good.

10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

Somethings we are satisfied with regular unleaded fuel to get through life. But Jesus wants us to fill our tanks with premium gasoline to spread the good news and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

1 John 3:16-18
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
Loving your neighbor includes sharing with the poor and having compassion in our relationship with others while forgiving and never holding a grudge. JESUS loved us so much that he sacrifice himself to show us what love is.

Devotions time.
Ephesians 2:8 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

When Jesus died on the cross, our guilt was taken away. This is why we can live shame free. Jesus died 2000 years age for you and me, long before we can do anything good or bad. It is unconditional forgiveness and love given to anyone who believes in the redeeming power of the cross. We are saved by grace through faith, a gift given to us by our savior Christ Jesus.
