The Winter Haven Community became part of the World Health Organization’s Age Friendly Network in 2015. The Network is administered through AARP in the United States. Age Friendly Winter Haven, a grassroots movement of aging industry professionals, nonprofit organizations, and City personnel, are working on this effort. Our goal is to identify areas of need and partner together to better serve our

aging population. Our target areas of focus are healthcare, transportation, housing, active aging, and lifelong learning.
