We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Fendrick Gobaud "Fen", a dedicated member of the New Smyrna Speedway Fire Safety Team. His loss has a profound impact on our foundation and racing program. Fen was a committed public servant, graduating from the police academy in 2007 and later becoming a Fire Fighter/EMT. He recently graduated from EMT school on December 3, 2024. Fen was a devoted family man with a bright smile and ambitious dreams. Our team is committed to supporting First Responders in times of need. Fen's wife and High School Sweetheart Alicia, and 2 children, Aaliyah 10 and Leo 6 now face life without a husband and father. The impending financial burden is daunting. Fen's untimely passing at 40 years old has left his family unprepared for funeral expenses. We kindly request any donation to support Fen's family during this difficult time. Racing Fast for First Responders will honor Fen at New Smyrna Speedway on August 30, 2025. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible and deliver 100 percent personally to Fen's wife. Brother Fen, we will take over from here.

Our driver Nolan Mesa will start the year in a legends car again. Nolan has partnered with VIP Race Management and Driver Development to race in the upcoming winter nationals from February 9-14, 2025 at Auburndale Speedway. Nolan got back into a legends car this past weekend and didn’t skip a beat. Special thanks to our sponsors and &calleja for joining our team to support Nolan for this event. 🏁

Asking for donations. This hits real close to home for us and our racing program. A hero, first responder and Military mom in need of help. Help us race fast to raise funds for her in her time of need.

This is Fiona Ash she is 43 years old. A wife to Tom, mother to AT3 Kenzie Ash (active duty Navy), SGT Zach Ash (active duty Army) and Grandmother to Greyson. Fiona started 24 years ago as a VOLUNTEER with Rescue as a firefighter/emt. She also worked for for 17 years as a track safety worker. She also worked as a police officer for and department. She is currently a valuable member of the safety team for the last 2 years.

Fiona and her husband Tom run and own a miniature cow farm. She is also the owner/operator of Gypsy Soul Customs which is a shop that makes t shirts, cups etc. But over the past 5 years, Fiona and her family have been pushed to the brink. Her husband Tom is currently in remission from stage 3B testicular cancer. After multiple surgeries and chemo, Tom has been able to return to work full time. Fiona's mom was also diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer which forced Fiona to be sole caregiver to her mother. Fiona's mom unfortunately passed away 2 years ago.

Now Fiona is dealing with her own medical crisis which has caused her to not be able to work as much and run her business for several months. Over the past 5 years she has had symptoms that she checked up on but were misdiagnosed until she found the right doctor. On 12/16/24, Fiona underwent surgery for Radical Hysterectomy. Cancer cells were found but she is very hopeful that the surgery will take care of that. She is also undergoing several other medical testing and procedures that are scheduled for early January.

While everyone is praying for the best with these medical challenges, Fiona and her family need help. The past 5 years have been non stop with medical expenses and not being able to truly work to cover all of the bills that have piled up. After all the years of dealing with cancer in her family and now with her, they risk losing their business and livelihood and are struggling to keep up with day to day bills with Fiona unable to work. Fiona and her husband Tom have private insurance with a deductible of $16,000 of which $6,000 is still owed. Not counting co payments their deductible for next year is $14,800.

Fiona and her husband have worked hard their whole lives to help others and they need help now. Fiona is the type of person to be the first to step up and help others and struggles to ask others for help. Their kids are away this holiday season again as are most active duty military members and Fiona will be recovering at home without them. Fiona remains positive and she continues to have the kindest heart even though this has been very hard on her and her family.

We at Racing Fast for First Responders are calling on all , all , all of her coworkers in all the departments she has worked for, all the people she has stood guard over throughout her career as a first responder to help this hero in time of need. Please consider donating any amount and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spread and share the word.

100% of funds raised will go directly to Fiona, hand delivered by our foundation and the driver of the #28 pro truck .

Thank you and God bless.
