This designation places Winter Garden among an elite group of fire departments nationwide and is a direct reflection of the dedication, training, professionalism, and hard work of our members.

From emergency response and training to fire prevention and community risk reduction, achieving a Class 1 rating requires a department-wide commitment to excellence. The recognition belongs to the entire organization, from the firefighters to the chief and everyone in between, who deliver that standard every day.

Since beginning paramedic school in September 2024, Chase has dedicated countless hours to education, clinical rotations, and field training to reach this milestone. Achieving stand-alone status reflects not only the successful completion of the process, but also the trust and confidence earned to provide advanced life support independently.

This accomplishment is a testament to Chase's hard work, perseverance, and commitment to serving our community at the highest level.

🇺🇸Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and devotion to something greater than themselves will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day also marks a solemn anniversary for the Winter Garden fire service. Seventeen years ago, we lost one of our own. While time continues to move forward, the impact of that loss remains a part of our department’s story and a reminder of the risks taken by those who answer the call to serve.

Today, we remember all who have given their lives in service, both military and fire service alike. May we honor their memory not only with our words, but through the way we serve our communities and take care of one another.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

Last night, the men and women of Winter Garden Fire Department were recognized by the Winter Garden City Commission during EMS Week 2026.

Our union stands behind the firefighter/paramedics and firefighter/EMTs who answer the call every day with skill, compassion, and unwavering dedication to this community. Their commitment to public service reflects the strength and professionalism of the fire service workforce.
