🎄 An Important Christmas for Kids Update ❤️
As we prepare for the 2026 Christmas season, we want to share an important change with our community.
Due to major reductions in funding this year, Christmas for Kids of Douglas County will no longer be accepting individual families through the online intake process on our website. We know this change may be difficult for families who have come to us this way in the past, and we truly understand that.
With the funding available to us this year, we are only able to serve children referred through the local programs and organizations we are partnering with throughout Douglas County.
Please know there are still other avenues for families seeking holiday assistance, including local holiday programs, community organizations, schools and family resource programs. We encourage families to reach out to 211, local organizations, and community social media pages to learn what assistance may be available this season.
While the way we connect with families is changing, our heart and our mission are not. ❤️ Our goal will always be to bring a little more joy and Christmas magic to local children who need a little extra support.
Thank you understanding, growing, and changing with us.
