“I wish I could foster, but...” 💭

We get it. It seems overwhelming, expensive, or emotionally tough. But fostering saves lives—two at a time, in fact! One dog gets pulled from a shelter, and a spot opens up for another.
Check out the breakdown above to see the truth behind these common fostering myths!

Even if you can't open your home, you can always open your heart by volunteering, sharing this graphic, or supporting local rescues. 🐾

👉 Save this post for later or share it with a fellow dog lover who needs a little inspiration to start fostering!

🚨 Retractable leashes might seem convenient, but they come with real risks for your dog.

They allow too much distance, encourage pulling, can snap and cause burns or serious injuries, and reduce the control you need to keep your dog safe around traffic, other animals, or sudden situations. Over time the mechanism can also fail, leaving you with even less control.

Many trainers and vets recommend against them for these reasons. For safer walks and better leash manners, choose a standard leash instead — it’s simpler, more reliable, and gives both of you a better experience. 🐕💗

Not every dog gets equal attention at the shelter. 🐾

First impressions on the adoption floor often dictate who gets noticed first, but the factors that make a dog "harder to adopt" in a high-stress shelter usually have nothing to do with how wonderful they’ll be once they're home.

From lighting challenges and unfair breed stereotypes to sheer size or kennel anxiety, so many incredible dogs are left waiting simply because of things outside their control.

Before your next shelter visit, and consider giving one of these underdogs a second look—they often turn out to be the most devoted companions you could ever ask for. ❤️

**FOSTER NEEDED**
She is full grown & only 32-35lbs & very sweet! Her puppies have been adopted & momma deserves a forever home too! We really want to bring this sweet girl into our rescue, but need your help. We are a 100% foster based rescue. We do not have a facility. We cannot rescue dogs without fosters. We provide everything you need: crate, food, etc. All the info we know about her is on the flier. Please apply directly to foster .org She will not be available to adopt until she is here and vetted. Fosters do get first consideration when she becomes available for adoption.
