🏃‍♂️🏅 STATE MEET RECAP – TROJAN PRIDE! 🏅🏃‍♀️

What an incredible showing from our DHS Trojans at the State Track & Field Championships! We couldn't be more proud of these student-athletes for their hard work, determination, and outstanding performances on Oregon's biggest stage.

As Head Coach Nick Garcia shared:

"Another great year at the state meet! Kids did so well! Cora and Ryder placed higher than when they came in and both got on the podium! Easton only long jumped twice all season and placed 10th! Hudson made it in the 800 again! Kyson had a huge PR in the hurdles getting himself on the podium as well! Girls 4x1 had a huge PR placing them 9th after being ranked 12th! And boys 4x1 placed 4th this year but was the best public school in 3A! So proud of these kids! They put up with me as much as I put up with them and I appreciate them!"

Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers, podium finishers, and coaches for representing Douglas with class, grit, and Trojan pride. Your DHS family is proud of every mile, jump, hurdle, handoff, and personal record that got you here.

Trojan Nation,

As we reflect on an incredible evening at our DHS Trojans Booster Club Luau, our hearts are full of gratitude. What made this event so special was not just the funds we raised, but the overwhelming support, generosity, and community spirit that surrounded us every step of the way.

To our amazing community members who purchased tickets, attended the event, bid on auction items, and supported our student-atheltes, thank you. Your encouragement and generosity help provide opportunities for our athletes to grow, compete, and represent our school with pride.

To the many individuals who donated auction items, services, gift certificates, and prizes, Thank You for investing in our students and believing in our mission. Your support made our auction a tremendous success.

To our student-atheltes, Thank You for your hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to help throughout the event. You are the reason we do what we do, and are proud of each and every one of you.

A very special Thank You to the Wildlife Safari for their incredible partnership. Thank you for providing the beautiful venue, donating silent auction items, and sharing some of your amazing animal ambassadors with our guests. Your support helped make the evening truly unique and unforgettable.

To the teachers, staff members, and administrators who attended and supported the event, Thank You for being there and showing your commitment to our students and school community.

And finally, to the volunteers and members of the DHS Trojans Booster Club, THANK YOU for the planning, preparation, and countless hours of work that went into making this event a success. Events like this simply would not happen without your dedication.

Together we raised funds that will directly benefit DHS student-atheltes and help create opportunities for them to succeed. More importantly, we were reminded of what makes our community so special - the willingness to come together in support of our students.
